Size Matters
Web | There are some instances in which being big can allow you a sizable advantage...

Thankfully, the internet is not one of them. Off the bat, it is important to differentiate your websites root function... To represent the ownership's business model. There are "websites" that we have all run across on accident. Sites filled with keywords (usually in alphabetic order), but severely lacking in content. These sites represent the worst side of the internet to me... it's less like casting a wide net, more like shooting a gun with your eyes closed. Viewers have become savvy to these large empty keyword warehouses.
Once you have discredited your site - you have completely devalued it. A link from a reputable site is worth many times more than one from a traffic bottleneck. The days of pop-up laden stamped websites is over. Technology has proven that it can stay one step ahead of the game. There is money at the fringe, don't let me give you the impression that there isn't... But, the issue comes up when you assess the cost. It's simply not worth "lowering yourself to their level."
Everyone knows the heavyweight... but people in the know, know the lightweight is were the action is. As with most aspects of business - Efficiency is your best option. Aim for a Duran, Sugar Ray or Chavez style website - stay small... stay relevant... but know how to pack a punch.
